Paul S. Baumbach, CFA, CFP®, ChFC
Paul S. Baumbach has provided comprehensive investment advice to individuals since 1993. Paul manages the wealth and portfolio management services out of our Newark office. Prior to founding Mallard Asset Management as a comprehensive wealth management firm in 1996, Paul worked for RKM Advisors in Pennsylvania as a comprehensive financial planner for over three years.
Paul earned a CHARTERED FINANCIAL ANALYST (CFA) designation in 1996, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation in 2009, a CHARTERED FINANCIAL CONSULTANT (ChFC) designation in 1995, a Masters degree in Computer Science from Villanova University in 1988 and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from the University of Delaware in 1983.
He has been quoted by Bloomberg Wealth Manager, Kiplinger's Personal Finance, and Financial Advisor and Business Week magazines, and has been interviewed on WHYY-TV 12 and CN8. Paul has been a guest several times in 2009 on nationally broadcast Fox Business Network 2pm hour program.
Paul was selected by Philadelphia Magazine as a FIVE STAR: Best in Client Satisfaction Wealth manager for 2009. Mallard has been selected several years in a row by the national Wealth Manager magazine as a top wealth management firm.
Raised in Bel Air, Maryland, Paul has lived in Newark, Delaware with his wife Pam and son Mike since 1990. Paul is active in community activities: offering investment seminars through the Delaware Money School, serving as past Treasurer and current Social Justice chair of his church, and is active in local politics.

William D. Starnes, CFP®, MST, ChFC
At Mallard Advisors, Bill manages the comprehensive financial planning services out of our Hockessin office.
Holding a Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State University, Bill has also earned the professional certification of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. Bill is a graduate of Widener University with a Masters Degree in Taxation (MST), and has earned the professional designation of CHARTERED FINANCIAL CONSULTANT (ChFC) from The American College.
Bill is an active member of the National Association of Personal Financial Planners (NAPFA), the Financial Planning Association (FPA), the National Association of Tax Practitioners (NATP), and Cambridge Advisors, LLC, a nationwide alliance of financial advisors committed to bringing objective financial advice to middle America.
Bill has been quoted by Jane Bryant Quinn in Newsweek magazine, Kiplinger's Personal Finance, Bloomberg Wealth Manager, Forbes.com, The News Journal, and Morningstar Advisor.

Pamela S. Baumbach, CFP®
Pam Baumbach is the Client Services Manager for Mallard's Wealth Management Division. She earned the Accredited Asset Management Specialist Designation, and she provides Mallard's wealth managers with precise, timely information for the asset management process, maintains client accounts, and responds to frequent client requests.
Pam has worked for Mallard Advisors since 2000. She has a degree in accounting, and has worked in accounting services since 1983. She developed the foundation that has enabled the expansion of the division's support staff, and she also leads the firm's charitable volunteering within the industry. |

Sherry Jamieson, Financial Paraplanner
Sherry and Bill have worked together over eleven years. Sherry is a senior financial paraplanner, and works closely with Bill in the Financial Planning Division providing support, client service, and acting as the liaison with TD Ameritrade.
Sherry has also completed the Financial Paraplanner Program from the College of Financial Planning in 1988 and is registered in the National Directory of Financial Paraplanners. She has worked as a financial paraplanner for 18 years. |
James E. Mink, Jr., CFP®
Ed Mink joined the Mallard Advisors team in May 2008, as a Portfolio Administrator. He received his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in August 2009 and is a point-of-contact person for many of Mallard’s clients. His focus at Mallard Advisors will be on retirement planning and taxation issues (including Social Security strategies). He is also an affiliate of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA), a prominent association of Fee-Only™ advisors.
Ed managed the retirement plans area for a local bank (WSFS) before spending over 20 years as an individual retirement plans consultant. Over that period, he also prepared personal and small business tax returns. His Bachelor of Science degree is from Salisbury State University, where he majored in mathematics. He has also studied economics, accounting, taxation, and banking, in addition to completing the University of Delaware’s Financial Planning Certificate program.
Ed and his wife, Patti, have lived in Cecil County, Maryland for over 30 years. They have two sons, both married and living in Maryland. Ed’s interests (other than helping individuals in financial matters) are in travel, motorcycles (sport and sidecars), and music. |

Susan E. Lehnerd, MBA
Susan joined Mallard Advisors in July of 2007. After spending more than 10 years in the teaching profession, Susan left the field of education in order to pursue a personal interest in financial planning. Having passed the CFP® exam, Susan is now working towards acquiring the necessary work experience for obtaining the CFP® designation. Her role at Mallard is that of Portfolio Administrator. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Towson University and a Masters degree from Loyola University Maryland. Susan lives outside of Havre de Grace, Maryland with her family. |
